Job summary

Precision Diagnostics, based in San Diego, California, seeks a Specimen Collector Phlebotomist in Albuquerque, NM, to join our clinical laboratory team. You will collect, process, and handle patient specimens while ensuring SOP compliance and patient privacy. HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation are essential.

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with weekends TBD (32 hours). Pay rate: $21.00 per hour. This role offers growth and development in a collaborative, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance if using a personal vehicle for work-related activities.
• Successful completion of a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Follow client-specific SOPs and company protocols.
• Verify and document patient demographic, ID, and insurance information.
• Collect, process, label, package, and ship laboratory specimens in accordance with procedures.
• Ensure specimen integrity by proper handling, storage, and transportation.
• Enter orders and maintain accurate specimen and patient documentation.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and all healthcare regulations.
• Provide professional, courteous support to patients during specimen collection.
• Maintain high data-entry accuracy and recordkeeping.
• Monitor supplies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, providers, and clients to support operations.
• Assist with other duties as assigned to support business needs.
