Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy procedures on patients in a fast-paced laboratory environment focused on safety, quality, and patient care. H.S. or equivalent, ASCP certification or eligible (within 6 months), and prior hospital lab experience are required.

The position offers an afternoon shift 12:45pm–9:15pm with alternating weekends and holidays, allowing interaction with patients and contribution to overall patient care.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP or eligible status; if eligible, certification within 6 months of hire date.
• Previous hospital lab experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients.
• Interact with patients to ensure a positive healthcare experience while maintaining safety and quality.
• Afternoons shift 12:45pm to 9:15pm with alternating weekends and holidays.
