Qualifications

• High School Graduate, or equivalent required.
• Ability to work as a team player with excellent customer services skills.
• Previous lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs registration, medical necessity screening, and order entry on specimens received in the laboratory.
• Produces reports from the lab information system and routes as required.
• Handles phone calls received in the laboratory front office.
• Receives and delivers specimens to laboratory departments in a timely manner.
• Prepares specimens for analysis, loads automated instruments.
• Faxes reports as required in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
