The Phlebotomist will support departmental goals for service, quality and patient satisfaction while handling a range of duties from venipuncture to specimen handling and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Vocational/Technical Degree Preferred.
• Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, Paramedic or EMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens via venipuncture and finger sticks as required.
• Prepare and label specimens for testing and referral.
• Register patients and input orders in the LIS.
• Maintain documentation and records for specimens.
• Provide patient and family education on collection procedures.
