Job summary

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital in Trinity, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN to join our hospital laboratory team. You will perform specimen collection, processing, and data entry under supervision, delivering accurate results and patient-centered care.

The role requires venipuncture and fingerstick skills across age groups, adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements, and collaboration with nurses, physicians and lab staff to ensure timely testing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience performing registration, clerical duties, and specimen processing
• Knowledge of specimen collection procedures and regulatory requirements
• Ability to work under supervision in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens via venipuncture or finger stick across pediatric to geriatric patients
• Prepare, label and process specimens; enter orders and monitor OSR issues
• Educate patients and families on collection procedures and requirements
• Maintain area cleanliness and follow safety policies and procedures
• Document chain-of-custody and ensure timely specimen handling and reporting
