Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-centered lab team in Pinehurst, NC. You will perform venipuncture and capillary draws, prepare requisitions, label specimens with multiple identifiers, and securely transport samples to the processing lab.

You’ll also perform waived testing and help manage supplies, while guiding patients on collection procedures. Qualifications include a GED or high school diploma, completion of an approved phlebotomy program, and BLS/CPR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience is acceptable.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Draws blood specimens by venipuncture or capillary method.
• Prepares lab paperwork and ensures proper lab requisitions.
• Labels specimens accurately with identifiers and delivers to processing lab.
• Maintains specimen integrity and handles reports to physicians.
• Performs waived testing and assists with inventory and supplies.
• Instructs patients on collection procedures and container use.
