Job summary

Labcorp in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods for all ages, accurate data entry, and handling specimen processing with a focus on delivering excellent patient service.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with preferred 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Travel to additional sites may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or complete training program or 3+ months experience is required.
• 1 year+ phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.
