Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Phlebotomy/Specimen Processor to support laboratory operations in Cleveland, Ohio. The role involves collecting and processing specimens, entering data accurately, and maintaining PHI safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal phlebotomy or medical assistant training preferred.
• 1+ year phlebotomy or specimen processing experience required.
• Ability to adhere to PHI and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Organize and perform tasks to meet turnaround time standards.
• Perform data entry, laboratory processes including sterile technique, aliquoting, and phlebotomy.
• Process specimens for laboratory testing.
• Collect or process specialized samples with minimal error rate.
• Serve as trainer and resource to other Specimen Processor Phlebotomists.
• Operate with minimal supervision and solve problems independently.
