Job summary

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Phlebotomy training or experience is preferred; high school diploma required. Proficiency with MS Office is a plus and no licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience or training preferred.
• No certification required.
• MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient at collection time and labels specimens.
• Performs venipuncture and capillary collections across ages.
• Communicates collection instructions for blood and non-blood specimens.
• Manages computerized orders and documentation of collections.
• Prepares specimens for processing and handles transport with care.
• Ensures timely delivery of specimens to the laboratory.
• Maintains quality and proper specimen conditions.
