UofL Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy procedures, collect specimens, and document results while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety standards.

The role requires completing a certified phlebotomy program (preferred) or a year of experience, CPR certification, and strong customer service skills to interact with staff and patients, including adult and neonatal populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certified phlebotomy program preferred.
• Completion of certified phlebotomy program or 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Performs phlebotomy procedures accurately and within established turn-around times.
• Transports specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner.
• Answers phone calls and provides information courteously and professionally.
• Monitors specimen integrity and ensures documentation for medical necessity.
• Follows safety standards dictated by the laboratory and regulatory agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by laboratory leadership.
