Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Donor Center Technician to support donor suitability in a plasma center in Ohio. You will establish rapport with donors to promote happiness and confidentiality while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include monitoring donors and equipment to protect donor health and product quality; setting up and operating automated plasmapheresis machines; and safely handling contaminated disposables in a fast-paced center.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service standards.

• Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable.
• Patient and reliable approach to donor care.
• Exposure to biological fluids and potentially infectious organisms.
• Stand for 6 to 8 hours per day and lift 15–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
• Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness and donor confidentiality.
• Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
• Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality.
• Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines.
• Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment.
• Work in a plasma center while following occupational safety and protective-equipment requirements.
