Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT, part of Trinity Health Corp., is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist for the Physician Blood Draw Department. You will obtain blood specimens, process samples for analysis, and relay patient information to the care team while ensuring accurate patient registration.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a phlebotomy program; National Phlebotomy Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy program.
• National Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience in blood draw settings.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients and perform venipuncture using standard methods.
• Label specimens according to policy and process lab orders.
• Handle and process laboratory/microbiology specimens.
• Be flexible to cover other sites when needed.
