Job summary

You will obtain blood specimens, process samples for analysis, and manage patient information. Must have a high school diploma, phlebotomy training, and at least 1 year of experience; national certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy program.
• National Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience in a blood draw setting.
• Knowledge of information systems.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Properly identifies patient and performs venipuncture.
• Labels specimens following policy.
• Receives/cancels orders and processes specimens.
• Patient registration for visits.
• Flexibility to cover other sites as needed.
