Labcorp in Smyrna, DE seeks a Phlebotomist for casual/per diem roles with flexible hours. The position involves venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups, data entry, and providing excellent patient service. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Typical duties include preparing specimens for testing, processing billing information, and maintaining logs. Certification or training in phlebotomy is required, with at least 3 months of prior experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
