Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist in Columbia, MD for a contract role with potential for permanent hire. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8a–5p, with an estimated duration of 3 months plus potential for perm.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining specimens, while ensuring OSHA compliance. Requirements include 2 years of phlebotomy experience, a valid state's phlebotomy certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
