Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Patient Service Center. You will perform skilled specimen collections and deliver exceptional customer service while being the face of Labcorp.

The role offers growth opportunities within the organization and requires a high standard of care in specimen handling. Work schedule is Mon-Fri 7:00am-5:00pm with rotating Saturdays 7am-11pm; travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
