Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Service Center Phlebotomist to perform accurate specimen collection and customer service in a PSC setting within a primary care practice.

You will enter patient demographics and orders into the BILH system, collect samples by venipuncture or capillary methods, and coordinate with couriers to transport specimens to the lab. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree welcomed.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP or other accredited agency preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide phlebotomy and related services for patients.
• Validate or enter patient demographic and insurance information in the BILH system.
• Collect specimens by venipuncture or capillary techniques for all ages.
• Prepare specimens for transport to BILH laboratories.
• Assist in training and mentoring PSC Phlebotomists as needed.
