Job summary

Bon Secours Eastside Medical Group is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory Department. You will draw blood, prepare specimens for testing, and perform clerical tasks to keep the lab running efficiently. You will greet patients, collect specimens, ensure correct patient identification, and handle data entry and processing.

Travel to off-site locations may be required. This role emphasizes compassionate customer service and accuracy in specimen handling, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred but not required.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community in a respectful manner.
• Collect specimens according to procedures and ensure proper processing.
• Identify patients accurately and match identity with service.
• Enter data and process specimens by labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing as requested.
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory checks and answering phones.
• Troubleshoot problems promptly and assist as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
