Job summary

Bon Secours Richmond Health Source Shared Services seeks a Phlebotomist to join the Laboratory Department. The phlebotomist will draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for testing, and complete clerical duties to maintain efficient workflow.

The role requires high school graduate, phlebotomy experience preferred, and travel to off-site locations may be needed. We offer competitive pay and benefits to support associates and communities served.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred but not required.
• One-year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a healthcare or retail environment preferred.
• Ability to travel to off-site locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and the community.
• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Identify patients accurately and match ID with service.
• Perform data entry and processing of specimens (labeling, centrifuging, packaging).
• Handle clerical duties: inventory, stock, phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
