Job summary

Labcorp is recruiting a Phlebotomist to join our team in Whiteville, NC. This role focuses on blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods for all ages, with emphasis on accuracy, timely data entry, and compassionate patient care.

You will collect specimens for various tests, process billing when needed, and travel to additional sites as required. A phlebotomy certification or training, or 6+ months experience, is expected; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed phlebotomy training or 6+ months experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
