Job summary

Michigan Medicine seeks phlebotomists to draw and prepare blood for testing in ambulatory clinics across Ann Arbor. You will collect blood via venipuncture, capillary punctures, and VADs, following specified procedures and ensuring timely transport to the central lab.

Proficiency with MiChart and Soft LIS is used to monitor orders while maintaining professional, respectful service to patients and staff. Hybrid or mobile work options may apply per department, with rotating shifts and weekend

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Phlebotomy Certification or coursework beneficial.
• Experience with pediatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens in ambulatory clinics according to procedures.
• Use phlebotomy techniques including venipuncture and VADs.
• Prepare specimens for transport and deliver to central lab.
• Use MiChart and Soft LIS to monitor orders.
• Provide professional, respectful service to internal and external customers.
