Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a phlebotomist to draw and prepare blood samples in ambulatory clinics, following established procedures. You will collect specimens by venipuncture, dermal puncture, or newborn heel sticks and ensure proper handling for transport to the central lab.

You will use MiChart and the Soft LIS to monitor orders, maintain a high level of service, and work closely with teammates to meet daily objectives in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Desirable phlebotomy experience, including pediatric draws.
• Phlebotomy Certification or equivalent coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and urine specimens in ambulatory settings following procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, dermal puncture, or neonatal heel sticks.
• Prepare specimens for transport and ensure timely delivery to central lab.
• Use MiChart and Soft LIS to monitor orders.
