Job summary

Labcorp in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups. You will enter patient data accurately, assist with specimen processing, and support billing as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1+ year phlebotomy experience, with a preference for phlebotomy certification and strong customer service skills. This position is on-site with potential travel to other Labcorp sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient data accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites as required.
