Job summary

Labcorp in Niles, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with responsibilities including blood collection, specimen preparation and data entry.

Travel to additional sites may be required, and a focus on delivering excellent customer service is essential. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification or training, with possible 2+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain logs for patient and specimen information.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
