Job summary

Labcorp in Shawnee Mission, KS, seeks a Phlebotomist to join our patient-facing team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, ensure accurate data entry, and maintain patient and specimen logs while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities include processing specimens for testing, assisting with billing when needed, traveling to additional sites, and performing necessary clerical duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Labcorp experience preferred.
• 6 months or more phlebotomy experience in hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
