Job summary

Labcorp in Addison, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team on a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30am to 2:30pm. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, manage specimen data, and assist with billing and patient service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification or training (or 3+ months experience). Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
