Job summary

Labcorp in Skokie, IL and Chicago, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, and handle specimens for testing and analysis.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and strong customer service skills. Shifts are Monday through Friday with two location options in Skokie and Chicago.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
