Job summary

Labcorp in Addison, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, with travel to additional sites as needed. Provide blood collections, specimen handling and customer service in a fast-paced lab environment.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; flexibility for overtime and accurate data entry are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
