Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Downers Grove and Skokie, IL. The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups, accurate data entry, and providing excellent patient service at multiple Labcorp locations.

The position is primarily on-site in Downers Grove and Franklin Park with travel to other sites as needed; a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training are required, with pediatric/geriatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months+ experience.
• 1 year+ pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• Pass standardized color blindness test.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
