Job summary

Labcorp in Carbondale, Illinois is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for drug screens, data-entry patient information, and provide exceptional customer service to patients.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy experience; a certification/training from an accredited agency is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
