Job summary

Mass General Brigham is hiring a phlebotomist for our onsite specimen collection center at 15 Parkman Street, Boston, MA. You will collect blood and other specimens, follow safety protocols, and keep patient information secure under HIPAA guidelines.

The role involves day shifts, 40 hours per week, and provides clerical support duties at the front desk along with patient care responsibilities. Training and ongoing education are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pediatric phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Inpatient phlebotomy experience preferred; training provided.
• Graduates of training programs with phlebotomy competency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens including blood, urine, sputums and nasal swabs as ordered.
• Explain safety protocols and maintain patient privacy per HIPAA.
• Provide reception and clerical support at the Specimen Collection center front desk.
• Satisfy annual continuing education and collaborate with co-workers.
