Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood specimens during weekend daytime shifts at our Parkman Street location. Under supervision, you will draw blood, label specimens, ensure patient safety, and maintain privacy in accordance with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy competency demonstrated or training completed.
• Pediatric and inpatient phlebotomy experience preferred; training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture and proper order of draw.
• Perform overnight rounds and morning blood draws; ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Label specimens in patient presence; package and transport specimens.
• Handle clerical tasks at the Specimen Collection center front desk; answer calls and file orders.
• Maintain adequate supply inventory and participate in continuing education.
