Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract opportunity in Groton, CT. The role involves routine blood draws, assisting with lab procedures, and routing labs as appropriate.

The schedule is Mon/Tues/Thurs 6:45a-6:15p for 2 months with possible extension or direct placement. Active national phlebotomy certification and BLS are required or to be obtained upon hire.

Qualifications

• Active national certification in Phlebotomy is required.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Works independently and in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
• Assists with supply inventory
• May instruct phlebotomy procedure for new employees
• Understands and abides by industry standards and infection control guidelines and safety procedures
• Proficient in phlebotomy skills, specimen collection, processing and assessing vital signs for patients
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
