Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect specimens from patients of all ages, following standard procedures and maintaining confidentiality. You will handle venipuncture and capillary collection, process orders, and support the laboratory with clerical tasks.

The role requires good communication, teamwork, and adherence to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, with schedule Monday–Friday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; phlebotomy class preferred.
• Experience: phlebotomy class completed or 1+ year phlebotomy experience.
• Knowledge: laboratory environment and medical terminology.
• Skills: excellent communication, teamwork, and problem solving.
• Ability: follow safety and confidentiality policies (HIPAA/OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens from patients of all ages by venipuncture or capillary methods.
• Process orders and specimens according to laboratory protocol.
• Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
• Provide professional customer service and teamwork.
• Maintain accuracy in clerical and coding duties.
• Restock draw area and assist with training as needed.
