Job summary

Labcorp in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role entails performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting specimens for various tests, and maintaining accurate patient data entry and specimen logs.

You will travel to additional sites as needed. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with opportunities for growth and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Must be able to pass color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
