Job summary

Labcorp in Arlington, VA seeks a Phlebotomist to provide patient-focused blood collection in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will perform venipuncture and capillary draws, process specimens, and enter data accurately while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification or training plus 3 months+ experience as a phlebotomist.
Preferred 6 months+ experience as a phlebotomist.
Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency may substitute for work experience.
Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments.
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to all patients.
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
