Job summary

Labcorp in Newton, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. This role performs blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, collects specimens for various tests, and ensures accurate data entry and billing support.

The position may involve travel to client sites. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, and either a phlebotomy certification or completed training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
