Job summary

Labcorp in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist to provide exceptional patient service, perform skilled blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods, and support the lab in delivering accurate test results.

You will work Mon-Fri 7:00am–3:30pm with rotating Saturdays, travel to sites as needed, and have opportunities for growth within Labcorp. A phlebotomy certification or equivalent training is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient data accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain logs for patient and specimen information.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
