Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years phlebotomy experience in clinical/hospital settings preferred.
• 1+ year experience assisting diverse patient groups (pediatric to geriatric).
• LabCorp experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training acceptable in lieu of work experience.
• Must pass standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility for overtime and fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
