Job summary

Labcorp in Hohenwald, TN is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The phlebotomist will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for tests, and provide excellent patient service.

The role includes data entry, billing processing, specimen preparation, and occasional travel to additional sites. Certification or training in phlebotomy is required, along with a high school diploma, with a preference for 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 3 or more years of experience as a phlebotomist (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
