Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist in Knoxville, TN to perform venipuncture and capillary collections across patient ages. The role includes data entry, specimen processing, and occasional billing tasks, with travel to additional sites as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a phlebotomy certification or accredited training. Preferred candidates have 1+ year of phlebotomy experience and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year+ phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency or completed training.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills essential.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; flexible to overtime; reliable transportation; color vision tested.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
