Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other laboratory specimens from inpatients and outpatients using established phlebotomy techniques.
• Accurately identify, label, process, and prepare specimens while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Handle specimens according to laboratory standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide compassionate, professional patient interactions throughout the collection process.
• Verify patient identification and follow procedures to ensure patient safety and accurate testing.
• Maintain documentation and ensure timely transport of specimens to the lab.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, lab staff, and the healthcare team to support patient care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following infection prevention practices.
