Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Phlebotomist - Inpatient at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. Per diem shifts with early morning hours (4am-8am) offer the opportunity to contribute to essential patient testing and specimen handling in a fast-paced hospital lab.

The role requires a phlebotomy training background, CPR certification, and a valid Illinois driver’s license, with starting pay posted as a factor in scheduling and experience. Per diems provide flexible coverage across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program including a minimum of 100 clinical training hours.
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
• Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, collects, logs and labels specimens for testing under supervision according to policies and procedures.
• Performs pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Registers patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arranges specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Phlebotomist -Inpatient
• Location: Elmhurst Hospital 155 E. Brush Hill Elmhurst, IL.
• PER DIEM: Shifts as needed
• Hours: 4am-8am

What will you do

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures prepares, collects, logs and labels specimens for testing.
• Performs pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Registers patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arranges specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.

What you will need:

Phlebotomist I

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Completion of a phlebotomy training program including a minimum of 100 clinical training hours
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
• Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance
• Starting rate: $19.25/hr.

Phlebotomist II

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
• Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance
• Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience required
