Job summary

LabCorp in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for patients of all ages. You will collect specimens for various tests, enter patient data accurately, and assist with billing as needed.

The role includes travel to other LabCorp sites and a strong emphasis on customer service. Required are a High School diploma or GED and a California CPT license; 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• California CPT license required.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
