Job summary

Texas Oncology in Austin is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our South Austin location with occasional coverage for the Lakeway site. This is a full-time Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5pm, with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

The ideal candidate will perform phlebotomy, process specimens, and maintain accurate documentation while upholding safety and quality standards. Level 2 or Sr will be determined by experience, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years of phlebotomy experience.
• Current state licensure if applicable.
• Licensure from an accredited school of phlebotomy recommended.
• Level Sr requires five or more years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens as ordered.
• Maintains documentation and QA logs.
• Maintains adequate inventory of supplies.
• Files and processes lab orders and reports.
• Operates laboratory equipment and adheres to safety guidelines.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and a clean work area.
