Job summary

Texas Oncology in South Austin is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team, supporting the South Austin location with occasional coverage for the Lakeway site. This is a full-time Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm role with no weekends or major holidays.

The ideal candidate has a strong phlebotomy background, attention to patient identification and specimen handling, and will work under direct supervision to maintain quality and safety in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of phlebotomy experience for Level 2; five+ years for Sr level.
• Current state licensure if applicable; phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens from patients as ordered.
• Maintains documentation and accessioning logs per QA program.
• Ensures proper inventory of supplies and viability of collection materials.
• Processes specimens to reference laboratories or in-house testing as needed.
• Adheres to OSHA safety standards and universal precautions.
