Job Summary:

The Laboratory Department is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves drawing blood samples from patients, preparing specimens for lab testing, and performing clerical duties efficiently. Responsibilities include order entry, result lookup, report generation, and handling calls in a friendly manner.

Essential Functions:

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients respectfully
• Collect specimens according to procedures and ensure proper processing
• Identify patients accurately to ensure safety
• Perform data entry and specimen processing as per test orders
• Manage clerical duties like inventory checks and answering phones
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Degree or GED
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required
• One-year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Engage professionally with staff and patients
• Willingness to travel to off-site locations
