This position involves travel to various off-site locations, with shifts between 6:30 am and 5:00 pm, including sites like Eastside, Westside, Fairfield, Kenwood, Rookwood, Milford, and Springdale.

Job Summary

The Laboratory Department seeks a Phlebotomist responsible for drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for testing, and performing clerical duties such as order entry and report generation to ensure department efficiency. Tasks include patient identification, specimen processing, inventory management, and customer service.

Essential Functions

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients and community members respectfully.
• Collect and process specimens according to established procedures.
• Ensure accurate patient identification for safety.
• Perform data entry, labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing of specimens.
• Handle clerical duties like inventory checks and answering phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required.
• One-year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.

• Ability to produce accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional engagement with staff and patients.
