Job Overview

This position offers supplemental income as an Independent Contractor.

QUEST Diagnostics is a leading provider of Worksite Wellness Screenings and health improvement programs. Our Providers visit businesses and corporations to perform employee health screenings. During a biometric wellness screening, providers collect measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, waist and/or hip circumference, and a finger stick for glucose and cholesterol levels. Events are scheduled during regular business hours. If you are available at least two weekdays regularly, this could be an ideal position for you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform biometric screenings at client sites, including finger stick blood collection.
2. Provide exceptional customer service during health screening events.
3. Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records.
4. Participate in training, retraining, and continuing education as needed.
5. Follow all safety policies and procedures, including using protective equipment to prevent exposure to infectious agents.
6. Comply with federal, state, and local laws, and adhere to quality assurance and good manufacturing practices.
7. Maintain HIPAA and OSHA standards during events.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements: Can you meet these requirements?

Education/Certification:

• High School diploma/GED and/or a medical license (e.g., Nursing license).
• Current appropriate medical certification.
• Additional certifications or licensure as required by state or regulatory bodies.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare setting.
• Completed a fingerstick within the last 2 years.
• Proficient in finger stick blood collection and manual blood pressure measurement.
• Experience with CardioChek machine preferred.
• Skills in specimen handling, labeling, processing, transportation, and storage.

Work and Physical Conditions:

• Screenings typically occur in a corporate or conference room setting.
• Travel required within a 30-60 mile radius to event sites.
• Ability to lift light to moderately heavy objects (up to 40 pounds).
• Fine motor skills and steadiness required.
• Attention to detail in examining and observing.

Protective gear will be provided on-site.
