Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Springfield, VA team. The role covers venipuncture and capillary blood collection for all ages, specimen handling, data entry, and patient service. The position runs Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, at our Springfield location.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with phlebotomy certification or training; 1+ year experience preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification or related training.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
